The MLP Evaluation Working Group is requesting that MLP sites share with them the instruments that are being used in data collection.  This may include forms completed by program staff, as well as surveys or questionnaires completed by program clients and health care providers.  The goal is to compile instruments and indicators in a way that allows individual sites to learn from others' efforts.  For more information on how to submit an instrument please visit our survey of data collection instruments page.

In response to suggestions from partnership sites, this spring MLPC convened four Working Groups to focus on core components of the medical-legal partnership model in order to identify best practices, current activities, and gaps in practice, research and resources.  The Evaluation Working Group is co-led by David Keller, MD, Medical Director of Family Advocates of Central Massachusetts, and Anne Ryan, JD, Legal Director of the Tucson Family Advocacy Program.  Core leader partnership sites are Family Advocates of Central Massachusetts (Worcester, MA), Tucson Family Advocacy Program (Tucson, AZ) and Health Law Partnership (Atlanta, GA).  The MLPC Evaluation Working Group representative is Mark Hansen, MPH, Director of Research and Evaluation.

The Evaluation Working Group hosts monthly conference calls in order to pilot surveys and discuss evaluation tools.  For more information, please contact Kate Marple at Kate.Marple@bmc.org.
